How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?

External assets: I didn't use any art, music, or starter kits. I only worked with the existing mpm codebase that was already in the repo. All I did was extend it - added new package manager integrations following the exact same patterns as the existing ones, and made the changes to integrate them. Everything is built on top of the original codebase structure.

What challenges did you encounter?

Adding new package managers: Each manager has a different CLI interface (pnpm uses different commands than npm, pip vs pipx behave differently). Had to write parsers for each one's output format and map them to the app's common interface. Some CLIs don't have great machine-readable output, so had to do text parsing.
- Extending the type system: Added new variants to ManagerKind enum and had to update all places that pattern match on it (colors in UI, grouping logic). Changed serialization to kebab-case for config compatibility.
- Claude plugins/skills integration: The claude CLI might not be installed. Made the managers filesystem-aware - they scan ~/.claude/plugins/ , ~/.claude/skills/ , ~/.claude/commands/ directly so they work even without the CLI. Falls back gracefully.
- Keeping the existing architecture intact: Followed the existing pattern (trait-based managers, TUI in Ratatui) without breaking anything - just added new modules and plugged them in.
