Chaos Quiz: The Fragile App is a fun and creative quiz experience built around the theme Chain Reaction. We imagined a world where the developers ran out of budget and accidentally created unstable software, so every wrong answer doesn’t just reduce points — it physically damages the app itself. One mistake starts a chain reaction where buttons break, cracks spread across the screen, chaos increases, sounds react, and reality slowly begins collapsing. Instead of creating a normal quiz app, we wanted to create an experience that people would enjoy, laugh at, and remember, while showing how one small action can trigger a series of bigger consequences.
What tools did you use to create your project?
How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?
other team members are beginners and used this hackathon as an opportunity to learn and contribute. We built the project together through collaboration and experimentation. We used some external assets such as sound effects, icons, and meme audio where needed, but the project idea, design, flow, and implementation were created and customized by our team.
What challenges did you encounter?
One of our biggest challenges was balancing creativity with implementation. Since the project relies heavily on animations, sound effects, visual damage effects, and a chain reaction system, making all of these work smoothly together was challenging. We also had team members who were learning during the process, so we spent time experimenting, fixing issues, and improving the experience while making sure the app remained fun, stable, and matched the hackathon theme.
