RECON-1

RECON-1 is an immersive astronaut-perspective space exploration web application that allows users to explore the Milky Way, planetary clusters, and our Solar System through an interactive cockpit interface. Users can click on planets and clusters to learn detailed scientific information while experiencing a realistic, simulation-style environment. The platform combines educational content with cinematic space visualization and game-inspired interaction, creating an engaging way to explore the cosmos directly from a browser.

RECON-1 was developed independently as a solo project. I handled the complete concept development, UI/UX design, interaction logic, structure planning, and implementation. The main challenges were balancing realism with browser performance, maintaining scientific accuracy while preserving visual clarity, designing an immersive yet minimal interface, and structuring multiple interactive exploration modes without breaking user immersion — all while developing the project independently.
