The theme of CodeDay Lucknow 2025 being the transformation of something mundane by nature to something that doesn't just repel you at first sight but rather invites you in and motivates you to things you have procrastinating for the last two months.
Having lived in an hostel for a year, i know just how painstakingly boring the whole ruckus of daily chores was the biggest headache ever. I tried here to build a webpage that makes it a little more visually appealing, invites the student to be more productive and just makes the previously super boring and mundane day into a fun and efficient experience.
What tools did you use to create your project?
How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?
The group essentially had close to zero coding experience so naturally the task to make something that fits a theme in under 24 hours was a daunting one, but the collaborative spirit that was shared between my teammates and me made a very slow start in the day and a very turbo-speed procession in the dark nights making it an extremely exhausting but also an incredibly memorable experience.
What challenges did you encounter?
The biggest challenge we as a team faced was just the initial daring to even start something having had next to no previous coding experience in the past. Then the slow figuring out of things that seemed out to be the most obviously basic ones for people around us also scared us a bit but the fear of not having something to show for the last 24 hours made us keep going. In the end we made something that veterans and auteurs of coding in this event might make out to be extremely simple but for us having made something useful was a very important experience for us that pushed us towards more surety of building and learning more in this field.
