Meteor.js

Meteor.js is an open source platform for building Web, Mobile, and Desktop applications. In a recent release, apps that are called to open automatically after it's finished being built are opening before it's ready. We discuss our solution to this issue in the following presentation.

Our group had some previous experience with open source projects and very minimal experience with JavaScript. We had to quickly learn JavaScript & Node.js before working on the project. The team was mentored by Ekansh Gupta.

We encountered many challenges throughout this experience. We first had trouble replicating the issue and running the codebase on the correct version. We also were challenged by understanding the validity of our original solution, as it worked correctly but the maintainers did not fully support it.
