This project is to create contributions to Open Energy Dashboard (OED) - https://github.com/OpenEnergyDashboard/OED

In addition to your mentor, you'll also have access to the OED maintainers.

#### Weather

First, OED needs to get the weather data. A long time ago, OED tested getting data from the U.S. National weather service and it worked. We should also look into at least one other service (such as Europe) so the system is general enough to handle multiple systems. The code to actually get the weather data needs to be implemented. Then the graphics need an option to normalize by this weather (maybe degree heating/cooling normalization for the first shot) using standard formulas. We also need a way to specify the location of a site and see if we can use the meter GPS to get the needed weather data. This project can be done in steps and/or by multiple teams. Difficulty: hard for all the steps but can be easier if done in parts.

How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?
