We will be making a web version of a fun board game called “Hit or Miss” (https://gamewright.com/product/Hit-or-Miss).
A high level overview of what I'd like at the end of this project:
- At least 6 people should be able to play in the same game.
- My Grandma should be able to set up a game online.
- The user interface for players should be simple, intuitive and visually pleasing.
- There should be clear instructions on how to install the server which is hosting the game's website and server.
There is more detail in the deliverables section. I will provide more low-level detail in the course of the project. For now, it should suffice that you understand how to play the game. One of the things we will do together is play the game, so that you understand it better and how to build it.
For technology, I recommend using Java/Kotlin on the backend, and React on the frontend. For installation, I suggest using a Docker container on an AWS EC2 box.
How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?
