We have created a ussd project using PHP and the Africa's talking platform, that will help people and communities around the wildlife areas get access to timely help, make claims incase there is loss of life of human beings and animals or loss of property during wildlife attacks .
The ussd also enables one to make reports where there are occurrences of poaching as human wildlife conflict is not one way.
The ussd also enables one to report officers on the ground by adding an option for this in the interactive menu. This will help to curb corruption and poor service delivery.
The ussd can be used by non smart phone users which was what largely inspired the project coupled with lack of good network infrastructure in most these areas.

We didn't have prior experience using the Africa's talking platform and ussd programming was a first encounter.
