We worked on apps and improvements for PineTime, an open-source smart watch.
In specific, we targeted a solution for the step counter not counting upon new day if wake up mode is Single Tap or Double Tap (https://github.com/InfiniTimeOrg/InfiniTime/issues/787) by creating a new function that will wake up the watch without lighting up the screen after midnight.

How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?
We had experience with this languages for about a year beforehand and hadn't worked with hardware in this capacity before
What challenges did you encounter?
We faced a lot of challenges with compatibility issues between the Linux terminal and Windows system that set back a lot of our process in the initial weeks but were later resolved thanks to our mentor's guidance.
