A game where aliens invade a forest that you're a ranger for. You notice a UFO in the distance and call the police to send help out. The only downside is that you'll have to wait for them... Aliens chase you throughout the forest as the mothership patrols the area to find its next victim. Players have to survive as they wait for help.

How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?

I've been making games in unity for around 2 years now. This is my first time going public with what I've created and it was a great experience; I loved the time constraint.

The project is made up of assets that I've made. I chose the color pallet on Lospec.com and got the animations for the aliens from Mixamo. Everything else was made by me.

What challenges did you encounter?

I was having trouble with going from blender to unity. It was something that I never used before because I find it easier to make voxel models rather than what can be made in blender. Importing everything was something new to me but there's nothing that YouTube and Unity Answers can't solve.

While I was working on the terrain, I never had experience with the terrain editor in Unity. Therefore, I instead made a map in blender and imported it into Unity. This wasn't very efficient when it came to putting trees, grass, and rocks onto the world.

Timing was also something difficult. I tend to bite off more than I can chew, and that's exactly what I've done here. I accomplished as much as I can but I unfortunately didn't get to put in sound effects. Either way, I am still proud of what I've accomplished!

And lastly, there were some coding difficulties but I watched YouTube to help be out with those issues.
