This will be an end-to-end financial data analysis project. Mentees will learn how to download economic, demographic, and stock trading data from public sources, then extract related info for empirical studies. This analysis would occur through Pandas(Python Data Analysis), Excel Micro/Google Spreadsheets, and charts. By the end of the life cycle project, mentees will be able to describe the relationships between interest rates, market performance, impacts of unemployment, etc. The goal of the project is to use empirical data analysis to analyze social and economic issues.

I am a rising senior in high school. The project we worked on during this program used the programming language python, of which I have little experience. In fact, this was my first project in which I used python. Furthermore, within python, we used software including pandas for data analysis.

-finding data that is from the past 3 decades in the form of month/day/year
-making sure the start date and end date is the same for all datas
-finding data that can be downloaded and imported into spreadsheets
-creating sheet IDs with the links for each data spreadsheet
-transferring the coding from replit to jupyter notebook
-working my way around using pandas and python
-merging multiple data frames on pandas and creating line graphs
