Virtual CodeDay Winter 2021
A game following the Perseverance Rover's journey through Mars and space. The user plays the game from the perspective of Perseverance and gets to make decisions about where to head next.

I created this using the Digi-Key set provided to us by CodeDay (Grove Beginner Kit for Arduino Uno) and made use of the 0.96" OLED display, LED, buzzer, button, and joystick. I originally had very different ideas for this project, and it was interesting to try to figure out how to scale down and make the best use of available resources once I discovered some of the Arduino Uno's hardware constraints (the OLED library ate up a lot of dynamic memory, and it was tricky to work around that constraint in particular). I really like how the game turned out, though!

How much experience do you have? Does the project use anything you didn't create?

My coding experience is mainly in scripting and some web development in JavaScript/Python. I've never done anything with electronics before and this was my first time writing in C++.
