What better way to appreciate spaceflight and exploration of the unknown than to learn about the math and science that gets us there! The purpose of this website is to teach people physics (specifically in relation to orbital mechanics and spaceflight) through and interactive / visual approach. The website has a completely web-based 3D gravity / orbit simulator optimized for ease of use. The simulation also stores data in the URL hash, a concept that I have been wanting to try for a while, meaning that all it takes to save, share, or embed a simulation that you made is to copy the URL. I believe that given some more work and polish, this website could be extremely useful to students and teachers, especially during the pandemic.

How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?

I have web development experience and some experience with three.js, but I do not have a great experience with designing UIs. I also originally wanted to add a forum to the website and make it dynamic using firebase, which I have some experience using, however I ran out of time. I also considered using angular, however I have absolutely no experience with angular and after trying I eventually had to stick to just JavaScript and three.js due to time limitations.
