SNACC (Some New Advanced Coder Chat) is an online social network / forum for programmers. We're using NextJS + TypeScript + Tailwind + PostgreSQL, and are open to using more libraries if needed.
Check out the website for yourself at https://snacc.chat, or our GitHub repository at https://github.com/jackmerrill/snacc.chat/
Some challenges we faced was a LOT of TypeErrors with TypeScript. Thankfully, we got them all resolved, and any remaining errors are from ESLint (thanks ESLint!!).
The hardest part about this project was figuring out how we would tie everything together. We had the loose idea of a programmer social network, but didn't know where to start. Friday night I started on the UI and a lot of the code got finished. Saturday was a lot of debugging and brain smashing, but early Sunday morning we got it all finished and ready to go. Despite our project being a bit late, we still prevailed and **created an entire social network in about 43 hours.** Beat that, Zuckerberg.
How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?
Jack: Has had prior experience with Fullstack development using NextJS, started using Typescript late last year and have loved it since.
Andrew: Has had experience with ASP.NET and Python, first time using anything like NextJS, Typescript, and TailwindCSS.
