We made a website about COVID-19. The main objective was to inform people who may not know a lot regarding this novel coronavirus. There are 5 pages on our site.
First, there is the home page. It contains information about COVID-19 and animation in processing JS, which displays how a cell is affected by a virus.
Then, there's a page about the theme, A New Perspective. On this page, people can explore how others who are distinct from them are coping or are impacted by the novel coronavirus. There are nine animations with descriptions showing each person's perception of the virus. On the bottom of this page, there is an article explaining some reasons why COVID-19 is good.
The third page contains 3 different masks that you can make yourself(the sources are at the bottom). Then, there is a page about prevention tips. On the left is a list of things you can do to protect yourself from the illness. On the right is a calculator that presents you with your risk of dying from the novel coronavirus.
Last, is the statistics page, which contains the information on how many cases, death, and recoveries there are in each country. Also, there is a chart with the number of confirmed cases, deaths, and negative tests. The tables refresh daily because they are based on an API.
How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?
All of us have been coding for approximately 1-2 years. Some of us had learned HTML the day before the hackathon so we could use it to create a website.
