Personal Actions and Habits Telemetry Service (PATHS)
The team will build a system capable of tracking various actions and habits in their lives. By first creating a simple service to accept signals, the team would be responsible for coming up with ways of creating signals that could augment their data. Data privacy is a big concern, and the team would be responsible for determining what kinds of data would be OK to track, and what data, if any, should be aggregated across users.
I would consider this a much more ambitious project because it spans many engineering fields and disciplines.
