A custom linux distro using lubuntu matching the retro theme of this year CDLKO'26 in this distro we have a retro mario game with cdlko's orgs characters and biryani powerups!! also we created a gamepad using esp32 too! https://github.com/Rexaintreal/Cdlko26

Our Group had 4 ppl
Yuvraj being the complete beginner (his first hackathon no coding experience he helped with the assets)
We had Aniruddha and Atharv who did the hardware gamepad part (14 and 15 yr olds btw)
and finally me (saurabh) i have good experience but custom linux distro was really new to me
the assets were created by AI and music is renai circulation ig yeah sound effects are too from diff games and there are easter eggs

What challenges did you encounter?
we planned to host the custom os on our PI but ARM Based stuff are not the easiest thing to handle also the hardware esp32 c3 supermini making it act like a hid device was a tough task for the two hardware experts!! so ARM systems have really different architechture so making chnages to it is quite difficult and we were figuring it out till like 4 am lol but then we gave up and used virtual box instead
