Most businesses today have myriads of data they want to understand, whether that be figuring out what they best selling product is or who they top customers are. Sometimes this can be as easy as looking up a table in excel, but sometimes you have hundreds of excel sheets or maybe its just hard to figure out what you’re looking for. This project we will use an AI model and our coding wits to build a easy to use website that can look through company’s data (uploaded spreadsheets) and give answers based off that data (no excel required to do any data parsing)

Tools we will be using: Typescript, NodeJS, React, OpenAI API, Langchain

Me, Kasaf am a senior and college and Kushal, my teammate a junior. We both had some basic experience with working with react but not with prisma, typescript or openAI. It was a great learning opportunity and imo the best way to learn new things is by getting stuck and finding a solution either by help from our mentors or by the internet!

The deployment part was the most confusing for me and syncing the database with the app remotely and not through my local machine. We were initially using prisma, postgres but it wasn't working when i deployed it on vercel so I decided to use azure's postgres to establish a remote cloud database. Everything else stayed the same. :) - Kasaf
