It's a 2-player game based on the arcade game "Shmup" short for "Shoot em' up." There will be 2 players where they have to destroy each other, and at the same time dodge the asteroids hurtling towards you from the top of the screen. If you get hit by an asteroid, you lose shield health. If you lose all of your shield, you will lose 1 of your 3 lives. Though, the shield doesn't interfere if you get shot. If the enemy shoots you a total of 15 times, you lose, even if you have all 3 lives. The controls for the game are "W-A-S-D" for player 1, and the arrow keys for player 2. To shoot for player 1, you press F, and for player 2, you press "SLASH" or the question mark key without pressing shift.

How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?

I have around 4 years of python experience.

The project is completely developed by me.

I have used an open-source website: "https://opengameart.org/" for the background music, the explosions effects, and background.

I have used "https://www.bfxr.net/" for the sound effects.

What challenges did you encounter?

The logic was challenging. There were some mistakes in the logic that I went and corrected. I thought of using scratch, but I instead decided to use python because it seemed more fit for the classic arcade game I was to make and to do something a bit more challenging.
