NOTE: The main video is the longer video. The shorter video is the one where we finally got to upload Jonathan's part.
- We built a sensor package that can be attached to a space rover
- The rover collects the temperature, humidity, and air pressure data of the surrounding environment
- A percentage score is calculated to determine how habitable the environment is for humans, based on thresholds sent by the ground station
- Mini ground station on Earth to monitor and control the rover threshold parameters
- All our kits were in 3 different locations far away from each other, and the communication was real-time thanks to Amazon Kinesis Data Streams
How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?
Intermediate
Jonathan and Adam: No prior experience with Arduino
Alex: First time working with Kinesis Data Streams to this extent
